Jessica Drake-Thomas
Jessica Drake-Thomas is a poet, novelist, and PhD student at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She holds college degrees from Tulane University, Emerson College, and the University of Arizona. She is the author of a collection of gothic horror poems, Burials (CLASH Books, 2020), which was nominated for the Elgin Award and the Ladies of Horror Fiction Award. She's also the author of Bad Omens (Querencia Press 2023), an occult poetry collection, and Hollow Girls (Cemetery Dance Publications 2024), a horror novel. She is a poetry editor at Coffin Bell Journal. She's an active member of the Horror Writers Association.
Jessica's vibe is black nail polish, horror movies, and cupcakes. She spends most days walking her black lab and dalmatian, drinking coffee, and writing. She works and reads mainly in the gothic horror genre.
She lives in Milwaukee with Nick and their two dogs, Poppy and Potato.
