E.M. Wylde

E. M. Wylde was born and raised in Canada's Northwest Territories (yes, beyond the wall), and now lives in Banff, Alberta, with his wife and three young kids. He comes from the world of music, where he's received degrees in both music and fine arts education. He's taught music and drama in schools for over ten years, and performed on stage for twice that time. Recently he was nominated for the Western Canadian Music Awards as "Children's Artist of the Year" (as his alter ego, kindie rockstar "Smiln' Rylan").

He now records and produces audiobooks full-time for all audiences in virtually all genres. He has a dynamic millennial male voice with a wide range of characterizations. Punchy and fun. Smooth and somber. Edgy and brooding. He was awarded the 2023 Reviewer's Choice Award (from AudiobookReviewer.com), and recently had an audiobook featured in AudioFile magazine. When he's not busy changing diapers and wrestling with his kids, he writes and performs music, and engages in as much type-two outdoor fun as his bad knee will allow.
