James Romick
James Romick considers voice-over the fourth or fifth phase of his forty-plus-year acting career, which includes nearly twenty-three years on Broadway. But never in his wildest imagination did he ever think that he would be recording and producing audiobooks at home in his den from a vocal booth that he designed and built himself, stocked with professional grade recording equipment and a spiffy DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) on his computer. Thus far, he has recorded and produced some seventy-plus audiobooks, with many more waiting in the queue.
He also studied audio engineering in the late eighties at The Institute of Audio Research in NYC, when editing analog tape with a block and razor blades was still the norm. Digital recording, editing, and mastering is so much easier.
