Jean Ann Douglass

Jean Ann Douglass is an AudioFile Earphones Award–winning audiobook narrator and playwright based in Brooklyn, New York. She holds an MFA in performance and interactive media arts from Brooklyn College and a BFA in dance and theater from Tulane University. The Guardian has called her writing the "Best of the Edinburgh Festivals." As both an audiobook narrator and writer, she is passionate about connecting deeply to characters and topics, and bringing them to life. She has equal love for niche philosophy books and strong-willed heroines. Jean Ann has worked professionally in communications, interactive video design, insurance, human resources, and as a university professor. She prides herself on making the driest of topics sound interesting. When not in her booth, Jean Ann is a producer of theater performances in box trucks on the streets of New York.
