Suanne Braun

Suanne Braun is an award-winning, multi-hyphenate artist. Hailing from South Africa, Suanne started her career working in South African theater and television. After being spotted by a US talent agent, she moved to the USA and spent fourteen years living and working in Los Angeles. Selected highlights during this time include Just Shoot Me (NBC), Wings (NBC), The West Wing (Live NBC), a recurring role in Stargate SG1 (ABC), FX-the series (The CW), Prowler, directed by Peter Bogdanovich (NBC), Babylon 5, and hosting at the 68th Academy Awards.

Since moving to the UK, Suanne has continued to work in film, television, and theater. Most recently on stage, Suanne created the role of Belle Livingstone in The Greatest Night of The Jazz Age (The Lost Estate). West End credits include Tanya in Mamma Mia (Prince of Wales and Novello Theatre), Maria Callas (covered and played) in Onassis (Novello), Fraulein Kost in Rufus Norris's Cabaret.

Theater: Ranyevskaya in The Cherry Orchard (Union Theatre), The Duchess in Vice-The Revenger's Tragedy (Soho Theatre), Bernarda Alba (Union Theatre), Amanda Prynne in Private Lives (Theatre On The Bay), Cougar The Musical (Coventry), and Sailing Somewhere, a solo show featuring original songs by Ivor Novello winner, Conor Mitchell (The National Studio and Crazy Coqs).

Film and television credits include KAOS (Netflix), Bloodline (Eleven Eleven Films), A Day and a Half (Netflix), Better (BBC), Red Dwarf (Sky), All the Things You Are (Swim Cinema), The Princess Switch Trilogy (Netflix), Summer of Rockets (BBC), A Castle for Christmas (Netflix), The Last Warrior (Disney), Survivor (Millennium Film), and Girls Guide to Depravity(HBO).

Additionally, Suanne is an accomplished voice-over artist who has voiced multiple international campaigns, including the award-winning campaign for the New York Times . Most recently, she has narrated Booker Prize author Karen Jennings's Crooked Seeds. She voices Sophie in the video game Dying Light 2, Prota in Meet Your Maker, and several characters in The Devil In Me. She has a new game coming out in 2026 and is a regular narrator for the Guardian's Weekend podcast.
