William DeMeritt

William DeMeritt is an actor, narrator, writer, dialect coach, and teaching artist who splits his time between Southern California and his hometown of New York City.

William received his BFA in acting from Marymount Manhattan College, has studied in London at BADA, and earned his MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama.

As a voice-over artist and narrator, William's work has been featured in a wide variety of genres and mediums; from commercials to video games (including Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption II) as well as journalism and audiobooks. William has been recognized for his audiobook narration with numerous AudioFile Earphones Awards and six Audie Award nominations.

As an actor, William has performed in some of the most respected theaters in the country, including The Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center, The Guthrie, The Old Globe, The Humana Festival of New Plays at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Classical Theatre of Harlem, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Public, and off-Broadway's Signature Theater Company. His TV/film credits include the Emmy Award–winning HBO film The Normal Heart, Our Son, The Floaters, Playing Sam, the critically acclaimed webseries The Outs, Guiding Light, One Life to Live, Law & Order: SVU, Person of Interest, NCIS: New Orleans, and The Flight Attendant. Additionally, William is the writer/cocreator/star of the New York Innovative Theatre Award–winning one-man show, Origin Story.
