Dorothy Garlock

Dorothy Garlock is the national bestselling and award-winning author of forty-nine romance novels, including A Place Called Rainwater and The Edge of Town. Her books, which often feature the exciting backdrop of the Old West, consistently appear on the New York Times and Washington Post bestseller lists. She now has more than 20 million copies of her books in print, with translations in eighteen languages and publication in thirty-six countries.

Dorothy's book-writing career began in 1976, after fourteen years spent working as bookkeeper/columnist for a local newspaper. She has been written about in almost every major newspaper, interviewed on numerous radio and television shows, and was selected Oustanding Western Writer for 1986. She lives in Clear Lake, Iowa.
