Edward "Babe" Heffron

Edward "Babe" Heffron, a U.S. paratrooper during World War II, was portrayed in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Heffron, a thoughtful and introspective boy, grew up in South Philly and went on to become brothers in battle and best of friends with William "Wild Bill" Guarnere.
