Evan Gaustad
Evan Gaustad grew up in Northern California, raised in a small town with a strong theater community. He went to college in Los Angeles and worked as an actor and a writer from 2005 to 2015 before he and his wife traveled around the country for a stretch and then settled down in Mendocino County, California. After cowriting a few screenplays, Gaustad and Clint Gage decided to try writing a novel and immediately took to the process and the product. Their first two books—It's Not the End of the World and Countdown Phoenix—offer a comedic twist on the apocalypse genre. Gaustad has also teamed up with acclaimed fantasy writers Karpov Kinrade to write The Last Witch trilogy, a paranormal romance series. Evan splits his time between writing and running the drama department at the School of Performing Arts and Cultural Education in Ukiah, California.
