Field-Marshal Viscount William Slim

Field-Marshal Viscount William Slim was born in 1891. He took a commission in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and served in the Middle East, India, and Burma, reaching Field-Marshal in 1948. His other books include Unofficial History. He died in 1972.
