Jamison S. Bottomley, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and research assistant professor at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVC), within the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). His research expertise includes the study of traumatic loss with an emphasis on bereavement following suicide and fatal opioid-related overdose. His program of research has been generously supported by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD).
