Owen Brian Toon
Owen Brian Toon is a professor in the department of atmospheric and oceanic sciences and the laboratory for atmospheric and space physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and winner of AGU's Roger Revelle Medal, and AMS's Carl-Gustaf Rossby Research Medal. He was recognized by the United Nations Environmental Program for contributing to the U.N.'s 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for Climate Studies, and cowon the Future of Life Institute Award in 2022 for the discovery of Nuclear Winter.
